A philosophy or set of processes that integrates the development and operations sides of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). It often involves automating certain tasks, as well as shortening the SDLC.
Note: In Israel, the term is used as a synonym for someone who is on, specifically, an operations team but not a development team.
